Roading Notices w/c 16 August

  • Watercutting continues on SH1 from Gore to Bluff next week – this will involve occasional stop/go traffic management that may be disruptive.
  • There is a road cycle race from Gore to Waikiwi on Saturday 14th August beginning at the Gore Town and Country Club at 1.30pm.  Please expect to see a number of cyclists and traffic management on SH96 and coming out onto SH6 after the end of the race at McIvor Road, Invercargill.
  • A section of SH96 (Winton – Wreys Bush Highway) just north of the Hundred Line Road, continues to be temporarily speed restricted for the safety of road users over the next few months.  The pavement is continuing to fail and is planned for a rehabilitation prior to Christmas.  We appreciate your patience in this area over the next few months until we can reconstruct this stretch of state highway.

Highways South work with traffic management in place

  • SH6, between Lanark and Hero streets in Lumsden, stop/go and temporary speed limit for tree felling (Tuesday to Thursday only)

3rd party work with traffic management in place
