Celebrate our tamariki at Mid Canterbury Children’s Day, a free community event dedicated to fun, connection, and play for all ages!
Join the fun on SUN 1 MAR, from 10:30am to 2:30pm at The Plains Heritage Park and Tinwald Domain. A day packed with entertainment, activities, and excitement. Bring along a picnic and a water bottle, gather your whānau, and enjoy a relaxed day out in one of Mid Canterbury’s favourite community spaces.
Children’s Day is all about celebrating the value of our young people and supporting the wellbeing of tamariki and whānau across the Mid Canterbury area. With a huge range of activities on offer, there’s something for everyone — from rides and demonstrations to hands‑on fun that encourages creativity, curiosity, and joy.
Magician ElGregoe is back by popular demand on the entertainment stage.
Some activities may be weather dependent. There is no postponement date.
